Denali Park in Winter

Denali National Park is a year-round destination & open for business!

While most people think of Alaska being a summer vacation spot, there is much to offer in the winter months!  Think skiing, sledding, dog-mushing, snow-machining, viewing of the aurora borealis, hot springs, winter landscape viewing and more!

You can arrive in Denali’s winter wonderland by car or train.   The Alaska Railroad offers regular weekend service from September through May.   There are also midweek services on select days.   See the full schedule at Alaska Railroad Winter Travel

Once you arrive, there are a number of local accommodations and tours designed to help you see ALL of what Alaska has to offer!   Check them out below!
