Emergency Response

Emergency Considerations ~ Make a Plan!

Communications:
• Internal (staff)
• External (partners, tour companies/directors)
• Guests (Rally point information, signage,
• Emergency (fire, EMS, updates, etc)
* Plan for all types of communications failures, cell, radio, landlines, etc.

Evacuation:
• Where will you evacuate to in the short term, before Borough sites may be available?
• How will you evacuate guests?   Employees?
• What is your vehicle capacity?   At that capacity, how long would evacuation take for estimated property/tour capacity?
•   Do your employees have a resource to follow an established plan?

Power:
• Length of outage
• Back-up source for critical systems
• Alternative options for water/sewer
• Protection of assets (frozen food, medicine, servers, etc)

Transportation:
• Guests on property
• Guests off property
• Alternative modes of transportation (if road/river/rail are impacted)
• Reroute options for incoming guests

Food/Water:
• On site supplies (short vs long term)
• Employee housing
• Options for replenishment

Partner Company or Organization:
• Is there a company or organization you can partner with, outside of your immediate location, for support if the emergency response is isolated geographically?
• Example: Canyon business parterning with Healy business or Carlo Creek business partnering with a Cantwell business in reciprocal roles
